Cerritos College and California State University (CSULB) have a long and strong history of working together to improve education.  Currently Cerritos College and CSULB have a model partnership revolving around the preparation of K-6 teachers. This 2+2 program has so successfully integrated the two programs that Cerritos College Teacher TRAC offers a comprehensive, fully articulated curriculum that mirrors almost exactly the first two years at CSULB and is aligned with the California Content and Professional Teaching Standards as well as the California Technology Standards.  During the past year, two new articulation agreements were formed with CSULB.  The first is part of a new program to recruit and prepare secondary mathematics and science teachers.  The second curriculum pathway is to recruit and prepare special education teachers.
