Change a life, shape a future. Become a K-12 teacher.  California schools will need thousands of new teachers each year for the next decade.  One of them can be you!  Teacher TRAC will help you navigate your way.

The Teacher TRAC program offers many services, programs, and pathways for students interested in teaching K-12.  For students interested in becoming an elementary school teacher, Teacher TRAC's flagship program is a partnership with California State University Long Beach.  As a student in the integrated, standards based Teacher TRAC / CSULB program, you can earn your Bachelor's degree and multiple subject teaching credential, and complete your student teaching.

When you apply to Cerritos College, you must also file an application for admission to Teacher TRAC. Once you're admitted to Teacher TRAC, a place is also waiting for you in the Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP) at CSULB.  While at Cerritos College, complete your lower division general education requirements and your Liberal Studies pre-major requirements.  Take advantage of all the special features Teacher TRAC has to offer.

Transfer to CSULB and finish the requirements for your degree and teaching credential.

If you can be a full-time student, you can be ready to teach in the classroom in four years from the time you're admitted into the Teacher TRAC program. It will take you longer as a part-time student.
