Button Requirements for Admission into Teacher TRAC:
 
  • Minimum 2.50 Cumulative Grade Point Average (G.P.A.)
  • Eligible for English 52 or higher
  • Eligible for Math 60 or higher
  • Unofficial High School Transcripts (also from other colleges you attended)
  • Typed one-page Essay explaining why you want to be a Teacher

{If you are interested in Pursuing a Career in Technical Education (CTE), the Requirements are different!}

Button Elementary Education {K-6}
Have you ever thought about teaching in the Elementary School?  Well now's your chance!  The Cerritos College Teacher TRAC Program {in correlation with CSULB} have created the Elementary Education Track that allows students to earn their Bachelors and 1st Year Teaching Credential in 4 years, splitting the classes up between Cerritos College and CSULB.  If your interested in making a difference in the life of a child, then this is the program for you.  Check out the Elementary Education Component of Teacher TRAC for more information!
   
Button Secondary Education {TS3P: High School}
Are you interested in Teaching Math and Science at the High School Level?  Teacher TRAC, with support from the National Science Foundation {NSF} have created a program specifically geared towards training teachers how to teach Math & Science at the secondary level.  If you have a passion for Math and/or Science, then you want to check out the TS3P Math & Science Track as part of the Teacher TRAC Program for more information!
   
Button Career Technical Education {CTE}
Are you interested in Teaching Automotive Technology, Welding, or Woodworking at the High School or Community College Level?  This component of Teacher TRAC provides individuals with a passion for Automotive Technology, Welding, and Woodworking the opportunity to share that passion and knowledge with the next generation of industry professionals.  If this sounds like a calling for you, then you want to check out the CTE Teacher TRAC Program for more information!
   
Button Special Education {SETup}
Are you interested in Teaching and working with kids who have special needs? The Partnership to Develop Special Education Teachers (SETuP) is a K-12 special education teacher preparation program that offers selected students the opportunity to explore working in an inclusive classroom with children with special needs.  If your interested in making a difference in the lives of these exceptional students, then you want to check out the Teacher TRAC Special Education (SETup) Program for more information!
