California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) -   Cerritos College and CSULB have a long standing history of working together to improve education.  The Chancellor’s Office, California Community Colleges Teacher Preparation Pipeline Grant has offered another opportunity for CSULB and Cerritos to partner, through the Professional Studies Department.

The Professional Studies Department at CSULB offers several programs “designed to enable persons to gain the competencies requisite for successful employment in secondary schools, community colleges and adult programs as teachers, coordinators and supervisors of vocational, occupational, career and technical preparation, and related human resource development programs” (CSULB website).

Future CTE teachers wanting to pursue their Designated-Subject Credential to teach in a high school setting through a Regional Occupational Center (ROC), or a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Studies (concentration in Vocational Arts) to teach in a community college setting may do so at CSULB.
